Easy Crafts for Kids
I received the idea for this page about easy crafts for kids because this summer on Tuesday afternoons at 2:00 at the Northwest Branch of the Harris County Public Library, I have had the great joy of presenting a Family Fun Craft. We started in June and have had a great time making crafts.
The first craft was the Fun with Funnies activity, then we made Summer Fun Books, and this past Tuesday we made some decorative firecrackers. Recently, we made paper quilts.
The reason we call the class Family Fun Crafts because the adults are having a great time making these easy crafts for kids!
In preparing for these presentations, I have found some great books, which I will review on this page. As I find more books about easy crafts for kids to share with you, I will add more reveiws so check back for even more great ideas!

The projects also used recycled objects such as newspaper, old magazines, and different boxes. There is a code to determine the difficulty of the project for kids from two to six years old. I could see these projects working for kids a little older, maybe to age eight, that like to make stuff and they could help younger children.

If your child is more of a visual and hands-on learner, then include crafts in their reading activities.
For example, if your child is learning about frogs, have them make a frog puppet to hold on to while reading and learning about frogs. They can read the book to their frog puppet.
